Founded in 2010, Pacifico Aquaculture’s vision was clearly set on developing a business with a foundation of responsible aquaculture. As pioneers in the cultivation of this premium species, we know that managing quality at every step of the growth cycle is key, starting with producing fry in our company-owned hatchery and then carefully growing our fish to market size at our beautiful open ocean site.

Less handling, specially designed feed, and the natural inflow of clean oceanic currents result in a fish that is consistently delicious, and an environment as pure as nature intended.





LOCATION

ECONOMICALLY AND ECOLOGICALLY SUSTAINABLE AQUACULTURE

The cold, clear, crystalline waters of the Pacific ocean provide us with the ideal setting for our operation. Our grow out site is located near Todos Santos Island, eight miles off the coast of Ensenada, in Northern Baja California, Mexico. Our location was carefully chosen for its ideal oceanic conditions, with significant protection from the elements due to its setting on the leeward side of the Island. Local underwater currents in this area, combined with proximity to a 250 meter submarine canyon, provide natural and sustainable cleansing of the site. Our distance from the Mexican coastline ensures protection from land sourced contaminants and allows for isolation and site containment.

Pacifico's location is only 70 miles from the border of the United States, giving us easy access to our principal markets. This results in reduced freight costs, increased shelf life and a much lower carbon footprint compared to other imported seafood.
